Taughannock Falls Trail

Taughannock Falls carves a 400-foot gorge through layers of sandstone, shale and limestone that were once the bed of an ancient sea. With a 215-foot plunge, this waterfall stands three stories taller than Niagara Falls.
Gorge Trail: 0.95 miles along Taughannock Creek to the base of the falls. Easy
South Rim Trail: 1.60 miles Moderate
North Rim Trail: 1.44mi. Moderate
Gorge Trail and the falls overlook are open year-round, but the other trails are open from April through October.

Who doesn’t enjoy traveling, movies, music, games, and room escape challenges? We figured if we’d have fun building and testing these Tourist Scavenger Hunts, you would also enjoy doing them. This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.
Simple And Fun
Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
