About us

Hotel Sonnenberg is located on the high sunny plateau of Meransen in the ski and mountain pasture region of Gitschberg/Jochtal. A paradise for skiers, pure natural landscapes, countless opportunities for winter sports, idyllic snow-covered landscapes and its incomparable feel-good ambience make the hotel a perfect holiday destination. The guests can enjoy a holiday high above the Eisack and Puster valleys with a fantastic panoramic view of the numerous mountain tops of the Dolomites. They will be accommodated in beautiful rooms or suites furnished in the South Tyrolean style. The hotel also offers apartments with a fully equipped kitchen. The wine cellar at the Sonnenberg Hotel is a true treasure trove, filled with excellent bottles with labels from South Tyrol, Italy, and the whole world.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.

Moreover, we really try to provide insight and discovery about the city you are visiting. Who doesn’t enjoy traveling, movies, music, games, and room escape challenges? We figured if we’d have fun building and testing these Tourist Scavenger Hunts, you would also enjoy doing them. This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout. Simple And Fun Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
