About us
Hotel Drei Hasen is located only 100m from the world famous “Mariazell Pilgrimage Basilica” and only 50m from the Cable Car Station "Bürgeralpe". Hotel Drei Hasen offers 45 rooms and suites with state of the art equipment. The hotel is specialised in weddings, conferences and pilgrimage groups. Our ballroom fits up to 200 people. In addition there is enough space in our traditional “Gaststube” and in our "Jagdstüberl".

Mariazell Pilgrimage Basilica

Hardly any other pilgrimage site in the world can look back on such an impressive past.
According to records, Mariazell was founded on December 21, 1157. An inscription above the main portal, giving the date 1200, means that we can assume that the building of the Romanesque chapel began at this time. The first documentary evidence of 'Cell' is from the year 1243. A letter of indulgence, dated 1330, from Archbishop Friedrich III of Salzburg, is given as the source for the Church of Our Beloved Lady of Cell as a much visited place of pilgrimage. By 1344 the community had received the rights of a market town.

We endeavor to build touristic scavenger hunts that mix easy and tough challenges, that are family friendly and fun. Moreover, we really try to provide insight and discovery about the city you are visiting.
Who doesn’t enjoy traveling, movies, music, games, and room escape challenges? We figured if we’d have fun building and testing these Tourist Scavenger Hunts, you would also enjoy doing them. This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.
Simple And Fun
Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
