About us

This hotel located at the port of the seaside city of Mataró, 30 Km from Barcelona, belongs to the hotel chain City Hotels Hispania. Additionally, we are only 2 minutes from Mataró train station and 5 minutes from Tecnocampus. The Atenea Port Mataró Hotel has 95 rooms with sea views and 10 apartments ranging from 30 m2 to 50m2 with bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen, all fully equipped. The Atenea Port Mataró hotel has the Nuus restaurant, with an elaborate gastronomy with different atmospheres (gardens and outdoor pergola for breakfast, lunch and dinner), cafeteria, cocktail bar and our outdoor 'Chiringuito' in the garden and six meeting rooms with capacity from 10 to 350 people aproximately for holding meetings and banquets. A hotel in port of Mataró with gardens, private pool and large terrace. CHECK IN - CHECK OUT Check In: 15.00 hrs. Check Out: 11.00 hrs.

Mataró is a Mediterranean city well worth visiting at any time of the year! The capital of Maresme county, with population of over 129,000, the city occupies a superb location, lying between the sea and the Serralada Litoral mountains. Just 30 minutes from Barcelona, Mataró is also very near to some of the finest tourist resorts in the county. Moreover, Mataró carefully conserves its traditions, history, heritage, culture and natural landscapes for the enjoyment of visitors and locals alike. Modernism in Mataró Mataró is a city with a great, diverse wealth of Modernist heritage: factories, markets, shops, houses, and much more. This tour takes you to the most iconic Modernist sites in the city. Highlights include the legacy of local architect, historian and politician, Josep Puig i Cadafalch (El Rengle Market, Casa Coll i Regàs, the shop “La Confianza”...) and Antoni Gaudí’s first building, the Cooperativa Obrera Mataronense, known as the “Gaudí Warehouse”. Mataró is a city with a great wealth of Modernist heritage: factories, markets, shops, houses, and much more. This tour takes you to the most iconic Modernist sites in the city. Engaging, personable, and dynamic, Kevin has officiated weddings and emceed events, bringing a unique blend of talent and personality. He has helped create the appeal of Full Strength Funk Band, as a founding member, and has played all over San Diego and Orange County with Liquid Blue, Wild Nights, Tom Benzon, Casanova Serenade and even with the Tito Puente band as a guest artist for a Latin jazz special. As a solo artist, Kevin was the featured entertainer at UC San Diego’s commencement ceremony in front of 7000 people, and has played The Aventine La Jolla, Mission Bay Yacht Club, The Thursday Club, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Bernardo Winery, University Club, Kona Kai Resort, Cafe 21, The Prado in Balboa Park, Tipsy Crow, Mesa College Art Gallery, Del Mar Fair,Liberty Station, and Coronado Landing. Kevin was a standout alto saxophonist in elementary and middle school, then switched to tenor sax as an adult. Inspired by BB King’s killer horn section, Kevin began honing his skills playing the blues. He still loves rock and pop music and enjoys covering crowd favorites on his sax, all while pushing the limits of audience engagement, building epic solos, and creating the ultimate show.
