Maure (pronounced More) was born out of our love of travel and the thrill of the hunt when it comes to finding the perfect gift. Founded by New York City-based celebrity chef Maureen Cavalieri, her passion for creating unforgettable experiences through food, presentation, and gifting is coming to life in a whole new way with Maure. Inspired by their adventures around the world, the Maure team has partnered with local artisans across the globe and in their own backyard to assemble a collection of the most sublime curiosities. Many are handmade and exclusive to Maure and cannot be found anywhere else. Thoughtfully curated into an array of gift boxes, we promise the recipient will be delighted. Sustainability and ethical employment practices are at the core of our ethos. We believe that all humans deserve to receive a living wage and be treated with respect and kindness. We have gone to great lengths to find the most sustainable partners and practices, from an artist who upcycles her clay to create gorgeous handmade vases to the zero waste wine totes. We are committed to leaving the world a better place than we found it. We are proudly composed of a team of entrepreneurial women with a fresh perspective. Dedicated to whole food and inventive fare, our ever-changing offerings are sourced from boutique producers with an emphasis on holistic development and environmental consciousness. ABC Kitchen: The cuisine at Chef Jean-Georges’ abc kitchen reflects a passionate commitment to the freshest organic and local ingredients possible. The restaurant’s changing menu focuses on local, sustainable, seasonal produce that does not use pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, or GMOs. Meat, fish, and dairy are locally sourced where possible, from humanely treated, pasture-fed animals free of antibiotics and hormones. A rooftop garden provides herbs and microgreens. Helmed by Jean-Georges and Executive Chef Neal Harden, indulge your senses in a plant focused spread with vegan and gluten free options. In an effort to channel the ongoing plant-based movement, Jean-Georges has opened a second location at Tin Building, focusing solely on plant-based and vegan dishes.

Where We Meet We typically meet guests at the Ace Hotel located at 20 W 29th Street (midtown Manhattan, 10 blocks south of Times Square). If we are taking guests on a Brooklyn tour, we typically meet them at the Whole Foods upstairs cafe located at 4 Union Square (Manhattan, at 14th Street). At both pre-experience meeting locations you’ll find a cafe and bathroom, which are both convenient before your marathon secondhand shopping day! For larger groups and corporate events, we organize meetings at a private location also conveniently located near midtown and subway access. That address is determined before the tour and space rental is included in booking fees.
