Industry awards
In the spring of 2010, Sunday River was the only Maine resort to receive the Director’s Award at the state’s annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Maine Office of Tourism Director Patricia Eltman said in a press release: "Sunday River showed the world that Maine hospitality is second to none."
The Maine DEP has named Sunday River a leader in the hospitality segment thanks to the overall environmental friendliness of the resort.
