The museum was designed by the Japanese architect Kenzo Tange: "In my mind, this museum is a jewel of snow shining in the azure of the Mediterranean. It is a swan floating on a peaceful lake amidst lush vegetation... ". The building sits above an artificial lake within a floral park. It gives the illusion of floating on the water like a lotus flower.

The Lascaris Palace is a former aristocratic residence in Nice built by the Lascaris de Ventimiglia family in the first half of the 17th century, and is now a museum of ancient musical instruments. Located in the heart of Old Nice, it houses a collection of approximately 500 instruments, which makes it, according to the city hall of Nice, the second most important collection in France.
For lack of documentary sources, the architects of the palace are not known. Its architectural style is Genoese baroque.

This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.
Simple And Fun
Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
