About us

Khaya iBhubesi, the Home of the Lion, owned and managed by the Bartmann family is an exceptionally distinguished Crystal Five Grading Conferencing venue. Situated on the Vaal River, it is a gateway to an oasis of scenic splendor and reverie tranquility. All within one hour's driving distance from Johannesburg, on the outskirts of the small Free State town, Parys. We have 76 rooms for your guests accommodating 161 delegates. Unique and versatile, the venues dually accommodate conferencing and private functions. The immense acoustically designed iBhubesi Hall is magnificent and ideal for large functions. The Chapel converts into a tranquil riverside conferencing venue, known as the Libandla Hall. Khaya iBhubesi has its own, on-site, internet cafe and all the conferencing venues are issued with standard audio-visual equipment. A stroll down to the meandering riverside leads you to the Lapa, a luxurious meeting place, where a smoldering bonfire beckons you to relax and absorb the African spirit.
