Guests traveling to Las Ventanas al Paraiso fly into Los Cabos International Airport via New York, Newark, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, Orange County, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Jose, Seattle, Portland, Washington D.C, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver or Mexico City. Airline carriers include Delta, American, Alaska, United, Spirit, Southwest, Eastern Frontier and AeroMexico. Las Ventanas is located approximately 20 minutes from the airport and private, hotel-chauffeured transfer is available at the current $160 each way, per car, inclusive of tax and gratuity (prevailing rates at the time of arrival will apply).

When the sound of the conch shell breaks the quietude at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, guests are alerted that one of nature’s wonders – the annual migration of whales– is passing right by the resort. The yearly parade of whales gives guests at Las Ventanas guests two viewing opportunities: first in fall/winter when the whales swim from the cold north to the warm waters along the Baja Peninsula where their babies will be born, and again on their return trip in late winter/spring with babies in tow.
A special amenity, Minolta EZ 10x50 binoculars, enables guests to better enjoy the breath-taking spectacle of whales swimming by directly in front of the resort. During the December through March whale season, the binoculars hang on wrought-iron stands along the resort’s sea wall. Meanwhile, the resort staff scans the water continuously in search of a huge body or tail breaking the horizon, and when they are spotted guests are alerted by the blowing of a pre-Hispanic wind instrument. The unique, alluring sound of the conch shell was long used for important communication among indigenous peoples, and Las Ventanas has adopted this ancient medium. At each place setting at the Sea Grill waterfront restaurant, a rolled-up notice tied with raffia explains what it means when the conch is blown.

On the 58-foot yacht from Las Ventanas al Paraíso, enjoy a romantic sunset or discover the secrets of the Sea of Cortez by snorkeling with your loved ones. You will be greeted with a friendly smile from the captain and his butler on board. The adventure begins towards the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas, visiting the colony of sea lions and Pelican Rock. In addition to visiting one of our dream bays, Chileno Bay, enjoy a delicious meal, as well as fun water activities such as snorkeling and stand-up paddle.
The sunset cruise starts with a glass of champagne in a front row seat to enjoy whale watching (seasonally) and is a perfect seat for la vista de la puesta de sol or view of the sunset.

Tequila Sign Class at Las Ventanas

Las Ventanas al Paraíso is known for its outstanding collection of over 150 premium tequilas – one of the largest in Mexico – as well as its trained Tequila Masters, whose grasp of the flavors and nuances of the resort’s extensive tequila collection is unmatched. After several months of development, Las Ventanas al Paraíso's Tequila Masters have created an exclusive program that will determine guests’ personal Tequila Sign, or the variety of tequila that fits the guests’ personality, palette and preferences best. Following a one-on-one blind tasting with one of the resort’s experts, guests will learn if they are “Adventurous,” “Robust,” “Greedy” or “Herbal.” Each of these distinctions corresponds with a selection of tequilas that fit the guests’ flavor preferences and personalities; for example, those who are labeled “Greedy” enjoy sweeter varieties. The guest can then use his/her Tequila Sign to order special pairings and cocktails at any of the resort’s restaurants.

We take pride in implementing a rigorous waste management program that emphasizes the importance of recycling and environmental sustainability. In all areas of the establishment, we have introduced the separation of key recyclable materials such as PET, aluminum, Tetra Pak, and cardboard. These materials are deposited in designated containers strategically placed to encourage participation from both staff and guests. In our recycling chamber, these materials are meticulously sorted before the arrival of a specialized recycling collector, who makes regular visits twice a week to collect these valuable resources. This process ensures efficient and responsible management of recyclable materials, contributing to waste reduction and promoting sustainable practices. Additionally, we have implemented a specific system for managing organic waste. This waste is directed straight to our composting area, where it undergoes a natural decomposition process to become high-quality compost. The compost is then used to enrich our green spaces and gardens. Glass is also treated with special care as part of our commitment to sustainability. We separate glass in designated containers, and subsequently, it is crushed for easier transportation. The crushed glass is sent to a specialized blown glass factory, where it is used to create unique and elegant products, closing the recycling loop and promoting the reuse of materials. This comprehensive approach reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable environmental practices, actively contributing to the preservation of the environment and the promotion of a healthier world.
