Located on the southeastern bay area of Jiaonan City, Dazhu Mountain extends 20 kilometers and spreads into the Yellow Sea. It was frequently visited by solitude seekers, Buddhism practitioners and men of letters in the old times. Therefore, many ancient relic sites here are valued for their presence of aesthetic appreciation and historical research, including Shimen Temple, Grave Tower Forest, Zhushan Stone Shelter and three grottoes built in Sui and Tang Dynasty. In the east valley area, there grow a plenty of rare flowers, such as azaleas, winter jasmines, wild roses and hibiscuses.
