Welcome to Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa – the Palm Springs resort of choice for those who seek a carefree retreat in the sun-kissed Southern California desert. The new Omni Rancho Las Palmas is classic Rancho Mirage re-imagined for the 21st century traveler. Boasting 50,000 square feet of event space and a bustling outdoor plaza connecting guests to a world of activity: fine and casual dining, live entertainment, a 20,000-square-foot spa, 27 holes of classic desert golf, a 20-court tennis center with 20 pickleball courts, and five pools. Our Palm Springs accommodations offer a relaxing oasis set against a backdrop of mountains and palm trees in the middle of the desert. Tastefully styled rooms with an early California flare boast premium king and double mattresses topped with cotton-rich linens, custom duvets and plush down comforters. The Rancho Mirage "Bump-n-Grind" trail is quickly becoming one of the Coachella Valley's most popular trails. It actually is known by several different names, including the Desert Drive Trail, Patton Trail (some people say it was built by General Patton's troops), Desert Mirage Trail and more. After starting out as a narrow trail at the bottom, it joins a wider road that leads up from the valley floor to a vantage point that gives the hiker a nice view of Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage and the Coachella Valley. While the Bump-n-Grind doesn't give the hiker an experience of solitude like they will get hiking some of the other Coachella Valley trails, it is a great cardio workout for hikers, and those who just want to get in shape. The access point for this trail is located on Painters Path behind the Target store in Palm Desert.

The Formosa first opened its doors IN LOS ANGELES in 1939: making its new debut in its 80th year. Located across from the then-Samuel Goldwyn studio, stars like Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart, James Dean, and Elvis Presley would pop into the legendary Formosa Cafe regularly for dining and drinks. On any given day, patrons might have seen Ava Gardner dancing past the old, red leather booths, or John Wayne nursing a late-night scotch (he was caught making scrambled eggs in our kitchen one morning, after reportedly passing out in a booth the night before). Among the interior design restorations is the full reveal of the iconic and original red trolley car, dating back to 1904 and is confirmed to be the oldest surviving red train car in existence. Boxes of autographed celebrity photos and storage units of original memorabilia have made their way back into the Cafe.
