About us

The Charles Bathurst Inn is nestled in some of the Yorkshire Dales most spectacular scenery as featured in the ITV series 'The Dales', the 18th Century CB Inn is situated in Arkengarthdale, a tributary valley of Swaledale and offers the best in food and drink, an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding countryside, and conference facilities for business delegates looking for a change of scenery. Tasteful yet comfortable, the CB offers guests a choice of 19 bedrooms, each individually decorated to compliment the stunning views overlooking the Stang and Arkengarthdale that can be enjoyed from every room. Deep red walls, exposed beams, cast iron bed frames and beautiful antique chests all contribute to the rustic charm of the rooms, all finished to a high standard yet retaining an informal feel, where guests feel they are getting quality accommodation at affordable prices a place where they can relax and feel at home. The Charles Bathurst Inn set in the remote and beautiful Yorkshire Dales provides excellent conference facilities suitable for team building, meetings, conferences or a celebration for 6 to 70 people. Its ‘Terrace Room’ boasts handmade furniture by Robert ‘The Mouseman’ Thompson of Kilburn. The open truss roof creates a light and airy ambience, combined with impressive views, making it the ideal venue for business or social events.
