About us

Villa il Poggiale is a Tuscan Hotel located a few kilometers from Florence, the birth place of Renaissance. Designed with the enlightened vision of the Renaissance, during the height of the period it is quite simply an authentic representation of the era that freed art, literature and architecture. The hotel rooms features unique design and its own atmosphere. Design includes silk curtains, antiques and linens from an old artisan textile factory. The hotel offers Seven Country Classic Rooms, Six Country Superior Rooms, Three Junior Suites, Three Tuscan Hills Junior Suites and Three Family Rooms for a comfortable stay in the hotel. The hotel is a perfect location with stunning surroundings for a wedding in Tuscany and the hotel staff knows about the best wedding planners, flower decorators and catering services in the area. The hotel has a meeting room to hold business meetings for up to 50 peoples.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
