About us
Welcome towelcome to knowles lodge, luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in the the heart of wharfedale, between appletreewick and barden, in the beautiful yorkshire dales. Knowles lodge is a perfect first night stop for dales way walkers starting from ilkley. The route runs through our bottom meadow and wood alongside the river wharfe, the natural south-west boundary to the estate. Accommodation is offered in three elegant and comfortable en-suite ground floor bedrooms. For small intimate weddings of up to 12 guests we use the drawing room and dining room for receptions and either buffets or sit down meals. For up to 30 guests we have a brand new marquee with windows that can be opened and closed depending upon the weather.

For years before creating her company, Alana tried every type of food the city had to offer and began specializing in the tastes of ethnic neighborhoods. Some of her first experiences with the city’s culinary adventures were fresh dumplings and homemade mozzarella — foods included on the signature tour today.
