About us

The Castle at Taunton is a 4-star, historic castle hotel located in Taunton town centre. At the gateway to the South West, The Castle Hotel successfully combines the style, luxury and dedicated service you would expect at one of Europe’s leading family-run castle hotels. Located just two miles from the M5 at junction 25, halfway between the northern border of Gloucestershire and the southern tip of Cornwall, The Castle Hotel in Taunton is at the centre of the West Country and is therefore ideally located for south west conferences and business meetings. There are 44 luxurious, beautifully decorated bedrooms and suites. No place organizes special occasions like the Castle. Weddings, anniversaries, a birthday, your firm’s annual dinner, and Christmas parties are extra special. And then there are our own special occasions; The Castle’s annual festival of music weekends, our Summer Garden Party, our dining club and wine dinners are all testimony to that special ‘Castle’ quality. With 5 spacious meeting rooms, two restaurants onsite, experienced events coordinators and catering team, we can accommodated your group bookings from beginning to end - ensuring that every detail is expertly handled. So you can focus on the event and not worry about the venue.
