One&Only Moonlight Basin Nestles Harmoniously Amidst Big Sky’s Alpine Canopy One&Only Moonlight Basin marks the brand’s milestone debut in the United States and its first alpine resort, embodying the pinnacle of ultra-luxury mountain living from the inside out. Its design, architecture, and art curation unfold as a collaborative, exploratory journey, uniting the hospitality brilliance of Kerzner International, the world-renowned architecture firm Olson Kundig, and Montana-based boutique art advisory, Echo Arts. Approached via winding mountainside roads through Big Sky’s dense forests and framed by southwestern Montana’s iconic riverways, One&Only Moonlight Basin’s discreet structures gracefully peek out from the trees. The resort offers a profound sense of seclusion within Moonlight Basin’s immaculate surroundings, where weathered wood with accents of steel and stone echo the tones and textures of the environment. Low, broad rooflines disappear into the alpine canopy, and thoughtfully placed buildings sit within the slope – quiet to the land and effortlessly blending into the rich Montana wilderness. Precious resources characterize One&Only Moonlight Basin’s curated art collection, drawing inspiration from Montana’s foundational elements of water, timber, and minerals. Reflecting the complexity of the landscape’s beauty, these themes are expressed through artwork that explores water systems and scarcity, forest health and fire, and the extraction and reclamation of minerals. Warm, tactile furnishings sit alongside inventive visual storytelling that is woven throughout the resort, crafted from natural materials such as live-edge wood, oak, stone, leather, wool, and blackened steel. A nod to its home in Big Sky, Montana, custom pieces reference Western craftmanship, from textured upholstery and hammered hardware to stone coffee tables and hand-stitched leather details.

Located in Rutledge Hill – just a few blocks south of Historic Broadway, in the heart of Downtown Nashville – Husk, from The Neighborhood Dining Group, is reinterpreting the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that begins in the rediscovery of heirloom products and redefines what it means to cook and eat in Nashville. At Husk, there are some rules about what can go on the plate. If it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door. The resulting cuisine is not about rediscovering Southern cooking, but rather exploring the reality of Southern food. Seed-saving, heirloom husbandry, in-house pickling and charcuterie programs by Executive Chef Ben Norton and his culinary team are the basis of Husk’s cuisine. Husk Nashville, located at 37 Rutledge Street, was constructed into the side of a hill between 1879 and 1882 by Dr. John Bunyan Stephens. Its storied history includes serving as Mayor Richard Houston Dudley’s home, where he lived when elected in 1897. The area was settled by the Rutledge and Middleton families of Charleston who were descendants of two of the original South Carolina signers of the Declaration of Independence. Mayor Dudley added the Carriage House located on property in 1890–which will serve as a space to satisfy the restaurant’s culinary whims and host private/special events. The design of the Husk’s interior spaces enhances the building’s roots while demonstrating a sense of Southern style, modernity, energy, and cosmopolitan flair.
