About us

Sonesta Hotel Valledupar is located in a privileged place at the north of the city Valledupar (pronounced “va yeah du pa”) which enjoys of the beautiful view towards the SIERRA NEVADA DE SANTAMARTA. The Hotel is found in the inside of the complex of the Shopping Mall GUATAPURI PLAZA which guests have the possibility to visit an extensive variety of stores, cinemas, restaurants, video games, and supermarket. The Hotel counts with the events room JUGLARES, in which with its 225 square meters can harbor we 250 people in audience, conference services assistance and audio-visual equipment available what permits us to organize cultural, social, and corporate meetings; for small meetings we include 3 VIP rooms with for a maximum capacity of 10 people; all areas previously described adding the pool and the gymnasium do of our property an ideal place for work or for rest.

Nabusimake "land where the sun rises" (in Iku language) is located in a mountainous region, where there is no regular seasonal variation, the temperature and climate depend on the height above sea level and the conditions of wind and rain. The vegetation varies according to the wind and rain, ranging from the various plants and lush of the lowlands to the dry steppes of the highlands (Páramo). It is located in the department of Cesar, 84 km northwest of Valledupar by road. It is the main town and the spiritual and cultural capital of the Arhuac Indigenous who live in the south eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

Sonesta Hotel Valledupar is the first business class hotel in the region. The hotel offers first class amenities, a full service business center, restaurant, lobby bar, room service, 24-hour concierge, WiFi, swimming pool and fitness center, and an executive floor with breakfast daily. The city is also home to the annual Vallenato Festival, one of the most important musical festivals in Colombia, which celebrates the music created in this region. Valledupar is the capital of the César region in Northern Colombia, situated on a plain between two mountain ranges, the Sierra de Perijá and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The hotel is located less than 90 miles from Barranquilla. The Hotel is 15 minutes from the airport, ALFONSO LOPEZ. During the trip towards the Hotel, a development city is seen, with a very good urban planning, full of trees which gives a fresh sensation in spite of the high temperatures during the year. The Hotel counts with 108 rooms, all standard type with excellent endowment which assures the lodging in an unforgettable experience; with a modern style the decoration of the public areas and rooms, highlight the ARHUACA culture in which with photography manages to show us that ancient culture and Sonesta Hotel Valledupar is near the House of Culture and Fine Arts School.
