28 Jahre lang konnte man Belvedere oder Tiburon nicht verlassen oder nach Tiburon zurückkehren, ohne einem schwankenden Pferd namens Blackie zu begegnen, das auf einem Feld stand, das als Blackie's Pasture bekannt wurde. Heute steht dank eines wunderbaren Geschenks der Familie von Gordon Strawbridge, Tiburons erstem Bürgermeister, eine lebensgroße Bronzeskulptur von Blackie auf der Weide, sichtbar für alle, die vorbeifahren. Es wurde vom bekannten Künstler Albert Guibara aus der Bay Area entworfen und im Juni 1995 dank der Tiburon Peninsula Foundation errichtet. Es ist eine Erinnerung an Tiburons Vergangenheit, eine Verbindung zu früheren Zeiten und eine wertvolle Erinnerung, die ältere Einwohner mit Neuankömmlingen teilen.
