Mitos SA, 1988 yılında Hellas'ın Araştırma ve Teknoloji Vakfı'nın (FORTH) bir yan kuruluşu olarak kurulmuştur ve Girit'in Kandiye kentinde bulunan Girit Bilim ve Teknoloji Parkı'nın bir üyesidir.
