The Hotel Cosmopolitan Bologna is a premier establishment committed to offering its guests a sustainable stay, aiming to achieve a carbon-zero footprint. Located just 5 minutes from Bologna Fair, the hotel is easily accessible both from the highway and the ring road (exits 8 bis and 9) and is also close to the historic city center. The hotel's 139 rooms are stylishly furnished and fully soundproofed, ensuring maximum comfort. The in-house restaurant the Bistrot Iacobucci, led by Michelin-starred chef Agostino Iacobucci, offers authentic Emilian cuisine enriched with seasonal ingredients, catering to the tastes of international guests. The hotel provides a wide range of services, including a modern fitness area on the 5th floor, fully equipped meeting rooms, high-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi, a free shuttle service to the Fair during exhibitions, and ample free parking. Since 2020, the hotel has embarked on a sustainability journey in collaboration with the University of Bologna, following the goals of the 2030 Agenda. Key initiatives include the installation of photovoltaic panels, which cover about 20% of the hotel's energy needs, and the installation of heat pumps to cool and heat the facility, leading to a 50% reduction in emissions. This year the hotel has introduced the Room Zero, a room that allows guests to actively contribute to sustainability, with the option to offset the carbon footprint of their stay. Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
