Braga, ekslibrisi UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi'ndeki Bom Jesus do Monte Tapınağı olan geniş bir kültürel mirasa sahiptir. 2012 yılında Avrupa Gençlik Başkenti, 2018'de ise Avrupa Spor Şehri seçildi. 2017 yılından bu yana Medya Sanatları kategorisinde UNESCO Yaratıcı Şehirler ağına aittir ve 2021'de 2019'da 2. sırayı aldıktan sonra Yılın En İyi Avrupa Destinasyonu seçildi.

Portekiz'in Minho eyaletindeki Braga'da bulunan Sameiro Meryem Ana Tapınağı'na hoş geldiniz.
Tapınağın büyük işçisi Fr. Martinho António Pereira da Silva, 1812'de Braga şehri Santiago da Cividade'de doğdu.
Sameiro dağının tepesinin güzelliğinden sarhoş olan Fr. Martinho, Meryem'in zaferini ve Tertemiz Gebe Kalmanın Dogmatik Tanımı'nın anısını sürdürecek bir anıt yerleştirmeyi düşündü.
1863'ten itibaren bir kaide dikildi. Üzerine heykeltıraş Emídio Carlos Amatucci tarafından bir mermer bloğundan yırtılmış Tertemiz bir heykeli yerleştirilecekti.
Sameiro'ya giden yollar artık kapalı olmayacaktı.
10 Ağustos 1877'de kutsanmış ilk şapel belirir.
Bu arada, Roma'da heykeltıraş Eugénio Maccagnani, 1878'de Braga'ya gelen ve Pópulo Kilisesi'nde iki yıl kalan Sameiro Meryem'in güzel heykelini ustalık ve sanatla üretir. Papa Pius IX tarafından kutsanmış olan bu güzel görüntü, 29 Ağustos 1880'de insanlarla ve bağlılıkla çevrili Sameiro'ya ulaşacak.
1883'te şapelin dışındaki mermer heykel çöktü (dinamitlendi). Ancak bu bile inananların bağlılığını soğutmadı: devrilmeden üç buçuk yıl sonra, Tertemiz Heykeli ile yeni bir anıt dikildi.
Yukarıda bahsedilen şapel küçüldükçe, Sameiro Bakire'ne akın eden pek çok hacı, yakında tapınağın bize inen ilk taşı atılacaktı. Çalışmalar 1890'da başladı.

Who doesn’t enjoy traveling, movies, music, games, and room escape challenges? We figured if we’d have fun building and testing these Tourist Scavenger Hunts, you would also enjoy doing them. This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.
Simple And Fun
Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
