Surrounded by the Maspalomas Dunes Nature Reserve, a protected area of more than 400 hectares a seascape and a palm grove shape the horizon. The Maspalomas golf course, situated in this paradisiacal area, is surrounded by dunes, a feature which has influenced the design of the golf course, designed by Mackenzie Ross. The Maspalomas golf course is flat and extensive with long and broad fairways. The proximity of the sea and the gentle breeze turn a game on this course into the most pleasant experience, thanks to the refreshing influence of the trade winds. The 18 hole, 73 par course has hosted international events and has a practice course, putting green and pitching green, driving range, instructors, golf cart rental, trolleys and clubs, golf shop, restaurant and snack bar.

The Meloneras Golf Course, situated in the south of Gran Canaria, along the Meloneras Bay, is characterized by its 9 holes of magnificent mountain views and 9 holes of amazing ocean views, 3 of which are located on the coastline. Each hole is equipped with 4 tees, making the design of this course attractive for the golfer of any level of play and among its many amenities are golf carts equipped with GPS. The fi rst hole is not excessively diffi cult, but the diffi culty increases little by little in the course of the game, challenging the player to do the same, bettering their game with each stroke.

The ExpoMeloneras Congress Centre can be found in the southern reaches of the island, in Meloneras to be precise, surrounded by spectacular ravines and protected natural habitats. A mere seven hundred metres from the golden beaches of Maspalomas, the facility features a truly impressive and versatile design. The multi-purpose convention centre boasts a floor area of 14,000 square metres, of which 9,264 are given over to congresses, conventions, seminars, exhibitions, concerts, sporting events, fashion parades, meetings, and a whole host of other events. Fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, the centre provides the latest in technical, IT and audiovisual technology, in addition to a full range of complementary services, including catering, which can cover receptions from 25 to 3,000 people on the ExpoMeloneras premises. The GRAND MASPALOMAS HALL, with a floor area of 3,600 square metres, can be found on the main floor. This enormous area can host 3,400 people when set up as a theatre, and can be sub-divided into fifteen different areas, or combinations thereof, thus offering event organising committees a whole range of different seating arrangements to choose between. The hall has an advanced system of mobile panels and screens in place to transform the grand hall into 9 separate halls/rooms, each measuring 400 square metres. Moreover, three of these areas can again be sub-divided into 6 further halls, type “1.1 and 1.2”, each measuring 140 square metres, and into 3 type “1.2” halls, each measuring 95 square metres, effectively meaning that the Grand Maspalomas Hall can be converted into 15 halls of 3 different sizes.
