Hiroşima şehir merkezinde yer alan, modern binalarla çevrili, Hiroşima kalesidir. Bu kontrast size zamanda geriye gitmiş gibi hissetmenizi sağlar. Hiroşima kalesi Terumoto Mori tarafından 1589 yılında inşa edilmiş ve 1931'de ulusal bir hazine olarak belirlenmiştir, ancak daha sonra atom bombası tarafından imha edilmiştir. 1958 yılında yeniden inşa edildi.
