This Buddhist temple is built on an site that throughout history was used to leave the bodies of people that had no relatives or friends to bury or cremate them. The temple's graveyard contains the graves of at least 8,000 unknown people. A ceremony dedicate to these people is held on 23rd August each year and involves the lighting of 1,000 candles.
