Whitaker Bank Ballpark is a stadium in Lexington, Kentucky. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Lexington Legends minor league baseball team. It was built in 2001. It holds 6,994 people. Whitaker Bank Ballpark is modeled after larger minor-league and major-league stadiums. It features the "Pepsi Party Deck" over the right field wall. This area is available to rent by groups. Along the first base line is the "Budweiser Stables," where fans can order beer and watch a game from an area of picnic tables. Behind home plate and accessible from the stadium's main entrance, the "Kentucky Ale Taproom" restaurant caters to members and guests with passes. The third base line features a small but popular area for families to watch the games. This area includes a kids area with a playground, bouncer and obstacle course. The bleachers, behind left field, holds more fans.

Part of the burgeoning Jefferson Street Corridor, West Sixth Brewing founders have remodeled Lexington's old Rainbow Bread factory and are now creating craft beers. The taproom features several rotating fresh brews and the beer garden makes for a great place to chat and try out a pint or flight. Tours are offered of the facility and production system.

The Red Mile is a horse racing track located in Lexington, Kentucky, United States. The track hosts harness racing, a type of horse racing in which the horses must pull two-wheeled carts called sulkies while racing. It is one of harness racing's most famous tracks and is located in the heart of the Bluegrass region, an area of Kentucky famous for horse breeding and racing.

Raven Run is a unique, 734-acre nature sanctuary dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the Kentucky River Palisades and early Kentucky history. Part of the property was acquired with funds from the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund. Over 10 miles of hiking trails provide access to streams, meadows and woodlands characteristic of the area. Numerous 19th century remnants of early settlers, as well as over 600 species of plants, allow visitors to become acquainted with and appreciate the natural world. Raven Run also accommodates over 200 species of birds throughout the year.

In the midst of Lexington’s historic antebellum Gratz Park, the Hunt-Morgan House stands as a reminder of early 19th century life, when Lexington was known as The Athens of the West. Built in 1814, the Federal style Hunt-Morgan House has many beautiful architectural features, including the Palladian window with fan and sidelights that grace its front façade. In 1955, the Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation was formed to save the home from impending demolition. The organization restored the home to its Federal appearance and now operates the house as a museum.

Commonwealth Stadium is a stadium in Lexington, Kentucky, United States, located on the campus of the University of Kentucky that primarily serves as the home field for the Kentucky Wildcats football team. The stadium, named for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, opened in 1973 to replace the smaller Stoll Field/McLean Stadium. The field is named C.M. Newton Field in honor of retired UK athletic director and former baseball and basketball player C.M. Newton. Built in 1973, it is the newest football stadium in the Southeastern Conference, as measured by date of original construction. The original capacity for the stadium was 57,800. In Commonwealth's first game, played on September 15, 1973, the Wildcats defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies 31–26, as quarterback Ernie Lewis ran for two touchdowns and threw for another touchdown to lead the Wildcats.

Ashland is the name of the plantation of the 19th-century Kentucky statesman Henry Clay, located in Lexington, Kentucky, in the central Bluegrass region of the state. It is a registered National Historic Landmark. The Ashland Stakes, a Thoroughbred horse race at Keeneland Race Course that has run annually since the race course first opened in 1936, was named for the historically important estate.

The University of Kentucky Arboretum (Also known as The State Botanical Garden of Kentucky or Lexington Arboretum), is located at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. It is open to the public from dawn to dusk every day of the year. It contains a Home Demonstration Garden, Vegetable Garden, Herb Garden, Home Fruit and Nuts Garden, the All America Selection Trials Garden, Perennial Collection, Ground Cover Demonstration, Woody Plant Collection, and a "Walk Across Kentucky" that simulates Kentucky's seven regional landscapes: Bluegrass, Knobs, Appalachian Plateaus, Cumberland Mountains, Mississippian Plateaus and Outer Nashville Basin (Pennyroyal), Shawnee Hills, Mississippi Embayment and Alluvial Basin (Jackson Purchase).
