A $14 million renovation was completed in late 2018. In addition to the fresh neutral décor, fully remodeled guests rooms and meeting space, other upgrades include state of the art wireless internet and audio visual equipment. Conveniently located right off I-94 in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, the property is located just 18 miles from Milwaukee, 25 minutes from General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and 75 miles from Madison. The Ingleside Hotel offers over 20 meeting and banquet rooms, as well as wonderful outdoor space perfect for your next team building event or unique experience. In August of 2016, chef Laurel Burleson launched the Ugly Apple Food Cart. She has been cooking in professional kitchens since high school and has a degree in hospitality management. After cooking for several years around Chicago and Madison, she saw how much was going to waste of this fantastic Midwestern produce. She envisioned owning a cafe that focused on delicious local produce.
Hence, the Ugly Apple was born.
Like the story of the Ugly Duckling, the Ugly Apple might not be bought at market but can still make a beautiful fritter.
