Ushuaia is commonly regarded as the southernmost city in the world. Ushuaia is located in a wide bay on the southern coast of Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, bounded on the north by the Martial mountain range and on the south by the Beagle Channel.
The Antarctic tourist season starts in late October and finishes in late March. During the austral summer, these different boats -mainly cruises and expedition ships- offer to adventure and nature lovers the possibility of traveling to the White Continent. Every season is perfect to visit theUttermost part of the World and its exhuberant nature. Its shady forest, its mountains, its peatlands, its grasslands invade every visitor´s mind. There are plenty of things to do. You only have to choose.
Rio Grande city is the first urban area you will see if you are planning to come by land. You could also land in the airport, in order to start your visit by meeting its people, its museums, its historical sites and buildings, the estancias around or its rivers.
