We were founded in June 1971 by Richard Melman and Jerry A. Orzoff with the opening of R.J. Brilliant Event Lighting is a full-service event production company serving Southern California's luxury resorts, hotels, wineries, and private estates. We design and execute decorative and intelligent lighting, draping, staging, rigging, LED video walls, and full corporate AV production - general sessions, galas, brand activations, product launches, and luxury weddings. Inventory, trucks, and crew are in-house across San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and San Francisco: no subrental markup, no third-party labor surprises, and one accountable team from site survey through strike. Licensed and insured, and experienced with the rigging, power, and load-in requirements at major Southern California properties. CAD plots and photorealistic renderings are provided with every proposal so planners and their clients can approve the design before load-in.
