A hotel with a history of 100 years Hotel Erzherzog Rainer was built by a former purveyor to the royal household and is a Viennese hotel with a long-standing tradition. This hotel in Vienna is located in the middle of the “Freuhausviertel” district, which is known for its manufactures and small specialist shops, yet still close to the centre and in walking distance to Karlskirche, Belvedere Palace, Wiener Musikverein and the opera house. A family-run hotel stays family-run After its opening in 1913 the hotel was owned by the Nedomansky family for 80 years. In 1994 the Nedomansky family sold the hotel to another dynasty, the Schick family – a hotel dynasty with just as long a tradition. Only a family business can carry on the traditional values of a family-run hotel. Both families have been close friends and marked the hotel's 100th anniversary in 2013 with a wonderful ceremony.
