Foundry Gallery

About us
Foundry Gallery is located on 8th Street, NW, near V Street, NW, and Howard University on the street level of an apartment building constructed in 2015. The gallery space, described as "industrial chic" by the Washington Post, offers two connecting gallery spaces, each about 400 square feet. The space also includes a small food prep area and a restroom. The distinctive architectural design includes a glass-paned garage door in each gallery space that opens to the sidewalk to create a sense of an even larger space.

Facility Restrictions
This space is first an art gallery and second an event space. The gallery reserves the right to decline a use that is not consistent with an art gallery. Artwork is not allowed to be displayed or sold in the gallery other than the artwork exhibited by Foundry Gallery artists or their guests. The promotion or sale of products or merchandise may not be the primary purpose of the event. Sales of merchandise are allowed only when incidental to the primary purpose of the event. For example, sale of T-shirts commemorating the event or sale of CDs by the entertainer are permitted. The gallery is open to the public Wednesday-Sunday from 1:00 - 7:00 pm. Preferred events will be held during times that minimally impinge on public viewing hours, such as Mondays and Tuesdays, or other days in the evening. We prefer that set up begin no earlier than 5 pm on days that the gallery is open to the public.
