From exquisite stained glass windows to soaring arches and a vaulted ceiling, our sanctuary—which seats up to 750 guests and is adaptable for smaller events using the main level only—is an architectural wonder that brings historic significance and cultural charm to the events that take place here. The sanctuary is outfitted with multiple HD pan, tilt, and zoom cameras to capture the events on stage. Your event can be broadcast live to the platform of your choice with an option to record for later release. Custom lighting arrangements are available, and an experienced audio engineer supervises production. Our social hall and two multipurpose rooms are also available to rent for meetings, conferences, and other gatherings. Kramers is a quintessential gathering spot with a remarkable history — an iconic independent bookstore, versatile events space, award-winning restaurant, and illustrious bar — all in one. Kramers first opened its doors amid the Bicentennial celebration of 1976 as the first bookstore/café in Washington DC. Over the years, through expansions, subpoenas, and innumerable neighborhood changes, much of our business has remained constant, notably our commitment to providing access to the best books we can procure and to the most delicious, varied food we can produce.

A saxophonist performing Gospel, Sophisticated traditional, and smooth jazz as well as classic R&B, performed instrumentally on the tenor, alto, and soprano saxophone. I am able to provide a large,’ LIVE’, musical presentation to any size venue to create the appropriate ambience for an event, or, be a featured performer for the presentation. I also have all the necessary amplification equipment as well as wireless microphones if they would be needed.
