The Strand Inn ligt in het prachtige dorp Dunmore East, in het zuidoosten van Ierland. Het hotel zelf staat hier al bijna 300 jaar, waarvan de wortels teruggaan tot de 17e en 18e eeuw, toen het een berucht trefpunt van smokkelaars was, maar de laatste 35 jaar werd het gerund door de familie Foyle. In die tijd heeft het een reputatie opgebouwd als een van de beste visrestaurants van Ierland. Dicht bij de zee zitten in een van de mooiste beschutte baaien van het land. Het kijkt uit over de Hook Head en de vuurtoren. Het hotel zelf heeft de charme van een gebouw dat zo oud is als het is, maar weet tegelijkertijd oud en nieuw te combineren zonder iets van zijn karakter te verliezen. The Strand Inn bestaat uit 16 kamers die volledig zijn ingericht met verschillende voorzieningen. Onze eetzaal biedt plaats aan 80 gasten, ons terras biedt plaats aan nog eens 50 gasten. The Cliff biedt plaats aan 30 gasten aan één tafel of 60 personen op de bovenverdieping, voor een informeel feest. Er kunnen 120 gasten in. De klif is ook een ideale locatie om de volgende dag een feestje te geven.
