Located on a 310-acre island set in the River Suir, on the edge of Waterford city, the 4-star Waterford Castle Hotel & Golf Resort offers a wonderful and peaceful setting for meetings, conferences and special events. Waterford is located 2hrs from Dublin airport and 1.5hrs from Cork airport. The resort comprises the 16th Century Castle with 19 rooms including 5 Suites, plus 48 contemporary Garden Lodges, each one offering 3 double rooms. The Castle's bespoke accommodation is simply beautiful. Each room is named with links to the great Fitzgerald family, who held stewardship of the Castle for some 800 years from its origins in the late 12th Century. Castle rooms consist of standard and deluxe, while suites include superior, deluxe and our signature Presidential suite. The Castle may be taken for private and exclusive use for intimate corporate meetings and special events. The Garden Lodges, located 8 minutes walk from the Castle are a perfect contemporary option for larger groups of delegates. Each stunning lodge offers 3 spacious double rooms, each with balcony access and wonderful views towards our golf course. A very large and open-plan kitchen/dining area and living space complete the wow factor of our lodges. In total, the resort can house 182pax on the basis of twin or double occupancy per room. The resort also offers an 18-hole championship course, designed by legendary Irish golf, Des Smyth, also a former Ryder Cup vice-Captain. The Par 72 course makes the best use of the natural landscape of the island and provides a good test for golfers of all levels. Club hire is available from the Clubhouse, where food is also served daily.

Nature abounds at Waterford Castle with numerous wild deer and other native Irish wild animals, as well as a beautiful array of broadleaf and evergreen trees. Groups can enjoy our spacious grounds for outdoor activities including tennis, boules, archery and clay pigeon shooting. We can also work with clients on arranging tailored team building and other events to raise everyone's spirits!
