About us
Canford School is conveniently located in Wimborne. We have two rooms licensed for civil marriages. The Long Gallery seats a maximum of 130 guests, in an elegant and spacious room entered through the magnificent Bell Tower. John o’Gaunts, seating a maximum of 80 guests, is the oldest of Canford’s buildings, and dates back to the 16th Century. You can choose to dine in The Great Hall or John o’Gaunts. The Great Hall seats a maximum of 150; featuring spectacular stained glass windows, wood paneling, and a baronial fireplace, it provides an impressive setting for your function. With its intimate medieval setting, John o’Gaunts is ideal for smaller functions; seating a maximum of 65. Our function packages include exclusive use of the function rooms and adjacent grounds. Canford provides all the necessary furniture, table linen, crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
