About us
The Burn How Hotel can be located in Windermere, England. The Burn How – meaning “the house on the hill by the stream” – was originally owned by the Short family who were famous for their 1937 Sunderland flying boat. It offers a unique and wide choice of room types and accommodation styles. Providing you with the perfect accommodation from which to explore the Lake District National Park. You have a choice of traditional rooms, four poster rooms and garden chalets. All of our rooms offer ensuite accommodation just a short walk from the centre of Bowness and Lake Windermere. Rooms have their own individual parking space, and most have a private sun balcony. The hotel accommodation is based in the heart of the Lake District and in close proximity to the regions lakes and mountains. Two of the ground floor Rose Garden Rooms have been specially adapted for wheelchair access. Book online or read more about Disabled Access accommodation.
