The Royal Yew
About us
The Royal Yew is a traditional county pub and restaurant famous for good food using the best fresh local produce available. We have a seasonally changing menu with a choice of traditional pub fare, vegetarian or modern brasserie meals. Our chef is able to tailor meals to suit any special dietary requirements. We serve a selection of real ales from Cumbrian breweries, and we stock a good range of wines and spirits including single malt whiskeys. The Royal Yew is situated in the village of Dean, close to Cockermouth, Workington and Whitehaven, in the Western Lake District area of Cumbria. Just two miles from the Lake District National Park and a short drive from the beautiful Lorton and Buttermere valleys. There are a number of near by attractions and amenities including holiday cottages, B & B accommodation, camping and caravan parks, and paths and trails for walking and mountain biking. The Royal Yew has a variety of intimate spaces for parties, functions and private hire. It can hold up to party for 50 people.
