In 1981, Julie founded Everything Done Right Catering, a high-end catering business. During that time, Julie developed a line of dressings and sauces sold to large retail store chains in Canada and Mexico. In 1989, Julie was a recipient of the 40 Under 40 award. In 2006, Julie was inducted into the BC Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier. All 414 spacious guestrooms, suites and apartments in Sofitel are equipped with ultramodern conveniences, i.e. Sofitel YBED, rainforest shower & complimentary Wifi. The Sofitel Convention Center is the largest business venue in the region and includes a 1,100-square meter pillarless Grand Ballroom accommodating up to 1,000 people for cocktail functions. The ballroom can be divided into three separate areas. There are nine additional meeting rooms that can accommodate from 20 to 150 people. The Ballroom and all meeting rooms are equipped with hi-tech audiovisual equipment and simultaneous interpreting facilities.

If the cancellation notice is received within 40 days prior to the first day of the event, the hotel shall keep 50% of the deposit paid as compensation. If the cancellation notice is received within 20 days prior to the first day of the event, the hotel shall keep 100% of the deposit paid as compensation.
