北京南部的天壇是中國最大的寺廟和祭壇複合體，佔地 270 公頃。天壇是中國宗教建築的精緻而非凡的典範。寺廟的建設始於 1420 年，在明清朝代的寺廟皇帝崇拜天堂，祈求豐富的收穫。
奧林匹克體育場
歷史地標
2008 年 8 月 8 日星期五，第 29 屆奧林匹克運動會的開幕典禮在北京國家體育場舉行，又稱「鳥巢」。遊戲可容納 8 萬個座位。
建築獨特的建築和設計使其成為北京的標誌性焦點。球場球場的圓形形狀是使用奧雅納開發的電腦軟件來定義，讓觀眾可以看到最佳視野。
