On the golden beach at Alcamo Marina, only a few minutes from Castellammare del Golfo, very close to art and history towns and to magnificent natural reserves, Hotel La Battigia, a 4 star hotel welcomes guests in rooms with a typical Mediterranean style that has been revamped with modern features. A true terrace on the sea, with a pool and a restaurant, delightful views and superior comforts. Hotel is just 44 km from Palermo Airport. The small structure blends in perfectly well within the gorgeous landscape, and its common spaces consist of a reception open 24h, a hall, a reading and TV room and a bar. The Continental breakfast is served in the breakfast room and also on the terrace, and the buffet comes with the added bonus of typical Sicilian sweets. You go down only a few steps and you are right on the hotel's beach with chaises lounges and umbrellas reserved for guests of the hotel. The 23 rooms (of which 2 are reserved for disabled guests) and 3 suites done in typical Mediterranean style of blue and white, with sunny orange accents, welcome guests in relaxing and comfortable atmospheres. The rooms of Hotel La Battigia are furnished with simple elegance and offer the best level of conveniences for a 4-star hotel at Castellammare del Golfo.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
