YOTEL Amsterdam is one of YOTEL’s most sustainable hotels in its entire portfolio. Its Excellent BREEAM rating certifies that the building has been developed for sustainable performance supported by innovative initiatives in most operational areas, including, but not limited to, the following: - 100% of the hotel’s energy usage comes from renewable sources including from the hotel’s own PV (solar) panels - Low-energy LED lighting is installed throughout the entire property – both internally and externally - Recycled rainwater is used to flush toilets on ground floor of the hotel and for irrigation - There are separate pipe systems for collecting and recycling black waste water (toilet waste water), grey waste water (from showers) and harvesting rainwater - Aquifer thermal energy storage (ATES) is installed and is the main source of the hotel’s energy - Motion sensors in rooms automatically activate the heating, lighting and cooling systems to ensure that when the room is not occupied, lighting and air conditioning switches off to minimise wasted energy Get in touch with the team to find out more about YOTEL Amsterdam’s eco-credentials.
