at the heart of the Panama City’s UNESCO World Heritage Site historic district, Las Clementine’s is a Casco Viejo Hotel with large, lovingly decorated one bedroom suites that sleep up to four people. Las Clementine’s was originally built in the 1930s as an apartment building, and we have retained the original apartments’ layouts, giving our rooms unmatched size and volumes. Think of it as a classic small European hotel with much larger rooms, gracious finishes and no elevator. As intimate and as it is comfortable, Las Clementine’s offers what may be Panama’s finest rooms in its most exciting location, Casco Viejo. Located in the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, just steps from some of Latin America’s most important historical monuments, the hotel caters to travelers who search out unique properties with a distinct sense of place. Nearly two stories below street level, nestled against the remains of the old fort wall is a mossy garden that had remained hidden from the city for many decades. If the Palm Garden is an oasis, then the Secret Garden is the hidden spring at its center–an ideal location to host family gatherings and small weddings and corporate events in Panama. The private dining room in the Secret Garden is ideal for seated formal dinners of up to 16 in air conditioning.
