Hotel Grifone is located in one of Italy’s lushest expanses of pine forest, in a countryside dotted with natural oases on the border of the beautiful Natural Park of Maremma. Despite its luxuriant setting, the hotel is only 350 metres from the sea and a beach which boasts the European Union’s Blue Flag as well as a 4-sail rating from the Legambiente association for cleanness, environmental awareness and sustainable development. The wide beach of Principina a Mare stretches for miles into the distance behind its protective fringe of sand dunes. In its thirty years of existence, Hotel Grifone has always been distinctive for its homely atmosphere. It has 38 well furnished guest rooms which are comfortable and modern. The restaurant offers traditional local and Tuscan dishes.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
