The Ayre Hotel is one of Orkney’s finest hotels and is situated in the principal town of Kirkwall, where the ferries to the North Isles dock. Whether you want to look around the mainland - from Skara Brae in the north to Burwick in the south, or hop on a ferry and visit the isles, you are never more than twenty miles from the hotel. The Ayre Hotel has a variety of well equipped rooms to suit your requirements. It has a range of facilities for meetings, private dinners and weddings. Our new purpose built meeting rooms are well equipped to suit a wide range of functions.

Over the past fifteen (15) years, we’ve grown from one (1) Thriller vessel to the current operation of three (3) Thriller Vessels, and one (1) Thriller Miami Hurricane that were built for Miami’s character, charm, and local culture. Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. First tour departs at 11:00 am during the week, and 10:00 am during the weekend and holidays. Last tour depends on the sunset, which varies by season.
