The New Square, popularly known as the Jewish Square, is a square in Krakow's Kazimierz district. Nowa, Rabina Meiselsa and Warszauera streets depart from it, the eastern part is closed by Estery Street. In the middle of the square there is the so-called round log called a saucepan by the local residents. It is a commercial pavilion built in 1900 consisting of two buildings: an internal hall and a ring with retail outlets surrounding it. Currently, Nowy Square functions on weekdays and weekends as a market where you can buy both vegetables and antiques. There are many cafes and pubs along the square. Plac Nowy is also a place of various festivals and events. m.in events as part of the Jewish Culture Festival take place here.
