Private boats can visit year-round at the docks or tie up to one of Mark Bay’s many a mooring buoy.

Nanaimo is a city on the East Coast of Vancouver Island, located on the traditional territories of Snuneymuxw Nation and peoples. We acknowledge their ancestral connection to this land and honour these relationships through continued work and collaboration. There are amazing opportunities to connect with the land and stories of these lands throughout the city, and certainly when visiting Saysutshun Island. Nanaimo is place where we encourage you to come as you are, and be prepared to be surprised by what the city has to offer. Nanaimo is a place where you can bungee jump, race bathtubs, vintage shop, paddle, hike and enjoy Canada’s only floating pub. Full of all things unusual/unique in the best way possible, Nanaimo sits at the intersection of urban and nature, old and new. Whatever floats your boat, we’re here for!
