Villa IL Crocicchio is located in a favourable position, just 8 km from the Sole Motorway (A1) and the train station of Figline Valdarno, just 10 minutes away from Florence and Arezzo. A complex which is equipped with apartments and rooms, a swimming pool, restaurant and meeting room, which has been built over time, starting with a passionate and sensitive restoration, and maintains an extraordinary balance with all the beauties surrounding it. The greenery dominates all the buildings: plants, vineyards and olive groves spread out beside the complex, with the Vallombrosa forest in the distance; a sense of peace and fresh air that will convince you to rest a moment here. Silence, comfort and a climate which is always suitable for the period of the stay. These are the necessary requirements of the apartments and the rooms which are available at Villa Il Crocicchio, in a rural context, in which the Tuscan architectural style is exalted. Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
