Daydream Island Resort - a conference, events and incentive destination with a difference. Daydream Island in the Whitsundays has recently reopened after an extensive refurbishment. The 4.5 Star resort offers 280 well-appointed accommodation rooms and suites along with comprehensive conference facilities all complemented by sparkling bays, secluded beaches, and an array of adventurous activities that combine to stimulate and inspire delegates. The resort is easily reached with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and Brisbane through the Great Barrier Reef Airport on Hamilton Island, or Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine, and is an ideal destination for conferences, events, meetings, trade shows, product launches and organisational incentive or team building activities. Enjoy the abundance of unique outdoor venues ideal for truly memorable events including a casual poolside gathering, a formal dinner beachside or an exciting awards ceremony at the 44ft Open Air Cinema. Daydream Island is the perfect location to offer an idyllic and intimate conference or incentive where you can also choose to book the entire island for exclusive use. It is big enough to host major events and yet small enough to provide a personal touch. There are three restaurants and three bars with their own culinary offering, making the most of local ingredients. Graze Interactive Dining is a modern interactive buffet restaurant. Infinity Restaurant provides Asian fusion flare and includes a Teppanyaki Suite. Signature restaurant Inkstone Kitchen & Bar will serve modern Australian cuisine with flamboyant techniques. The island offers a revitalised pool landscape allowing guests to swim and enjoy unparalleled views across the Whitsunday Islands. The swimming hub is complemented by a poolside bar inclusive of a new burger concept. All guests of Daydream Island have access to a range of free activities and attractions with something for everybody. From fish feeding and stand up paddle boarding to rainforest walks and outdoor fitness classes.

Eco Tourism Certified Daydream Island Resort is the only island in the Whitsundays to be awarded with ECOTOURISM certification from Eco Tourism Australia following the island’s commitment to continuous improvement and initiatives to combat environmental impacts within the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. https://www.daydreamisland.com/eco-tourism Coral Restoration Program In 2019, Daydream Island developed a restoration program using ex-situe nurseries to assist with the recovery of Lovers Cove which was damaged by Cyclone Debbie. The custom-built coral raceways were developed to facilitate the growth stages of coral fragments that are to be used for restoration off the Island. There are two airports that service the region, both serviced by major airlines including Virgin, Qantas and Jetstar. Hamilton Island Airport (HTI) has direct flights from Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and is an easy direct 30-minute boat transfer to Daydream Island. Alternatively, Whitsunday Coast Airport (WCA)/Proserpine Airport (PPP) is a 40km road transfer to Port of Airlie where you’ll then take a 30-minute boat transfer direct to Daydream Island. Boat transfers to Daydream Island are provided by Cruise Whitsundays on their fleet of purpose-built, modern vessels.
