Shrewsbury Lodge is located on the edge of the picturesque conservation village of Oxton, which boasts many superb restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, yet with easy access to Liverpool city centre, Chester & North Wales. The Shrewsbury Lodge undoubtedly enjoys one of the most idyllic locations in Wirral. A grand Victorian house, built in 1874 it now provides comfortable accommodation for those wishing to relax and enjoy what Wirral & Liverpool have to offer. The Shrewsbury Lodge Hotel offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. We have 16 bedrooms from singles to doubles to twins & family. All our bedrooms are en-suite. Our Function suite has the flexibility to cater for any occasion, a perfect venue, whether it is a special birthday, christening, wedding, or funeral. The Lodge can deliver the ideal setting for those doing business on the Wirral and Merseyside.

A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era. Against all odds, we have opened up our newest restaurant, Serafina, This little gem of a restaurant, perched on top of Nob Hill, has truly been a labor of love, as we were set to open at the end of February, and then had to do so during the ensuing pandemic....We are so excited about Serafina, which has been a concept in the making for many years for us. Serafina was Maurizio’s grandmother, and the name of her eponymous restaurant in the heart of Trastevere (Rome), where Maurizio first began making pizzas at the age of 14. She was a tough woman and wonderful chef.. an inspiration for his love of cooking then, and inspiration of how he is determined to persevere despite the difficult circumstances of today. We hope to create a warm, elegant space where neighbors and friends can come together. We have an amazing team with our partner Giuseppe Terminiello, the co-owner of Piccolo Forno with us (we also own Ideale, in North Beach as well), and Umberto Cannarsa, an accomplished and incredibly talented chef from Rome, who had his own successful restaurants there.
