The Island Hotel is a historical landmark steeped in the rich, diverse cultural heritage that is unique to Isipingo, Durban. Located amidst the lush mangroves of Isipingo Beach and right next to the warmest ocean in the world, it has been restored to its past elegance and grace – and is designed to satisfy the needs of the discerning business and leisure traveller. We preserve and take full cognisance of the natural beauty that characterises KwaZulu-Natal. We take pride in protecting all our vervet monkeys, birds, mangroves and other wild flora and fauna from any threat or forced removal. We are proud to be the only establishment in the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal which houses 3 protected species of mangroves.

The Brooklyn Comedy Collective is a comedy theater and school in Brooklyn with a mission to produce irreverent, fearless shows from a wide range of voices and inspire students to approach performance from a place of joy and fierceness. From year-round comedy classes to workshops for businesses large and small to improv festivals and live comedy produced Tues-Sundays nights in East Williamsburg, we celebrate anyone who wants to let their freak flag fly. We offer a wide array of classes in improv, sketch, and stand-up and more - available year-round at our fabulous training centers in North Brooklyn - The Dog House (137 Montrose Ave, Brooklyn) & The Pig Pen (144 Boerum St, Brooklyn).
