At The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort, we care about the enviroment and healthy lifestyles. Water bottle filling stations can be found in our hallways. Sutainable aluminium containers are available for puchase for $210 MXN. For each container sold, the hotel will donate 25% of proceeds to a local foundation.

Blue Flag Certification It is an international distinction awarded to sustainable tourism beaches that have achieved "excellence" and represents a commitment to beach users and the environment, certifying the following areas: environmental education and information, water quality, environmental management, safety, and services. The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort received the Blue Flag certification in July 2023, for the 2023 - 2024 season. Validity: 1 year Issued by the Foundation for Environmental Education, based in Denmark. Voluntary Environmental Compliance Certificate The Voluntary Environmental Compliance Certificate is a certificate awarded to the productive sectors of the state of Jalisco that comply with the obligations set forth in state, federal, and municipal environmental legislation and even take on higher environmental commitments that are compatible with, preserve, enhance, or restore the environment. Validity: 2 years Issued by: Secretariat of Environment and Territorial Development of the state of Jalisco.
